Noosa Hospital, located close to the famous beaches and waterways of the Noosa region on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast is seeking medical officers to work with our Specialists. The Sunshine Coast is one of the fastest growing regions in the country with a number of major health service expansions due for completion in the next year.
Noosa Hospital is a 92 bed private facility with a 4 bed ICU, 4 bed HDU, a busy emergency department and an operating suite comprising 3 theatres and an endoscopy room. Our key specialties include orthopaedics, general surgery, general medicine, oncology, renal medicine ( 6 dialysis chairs), ophthalmology, ENT and womens' health (excluding obstetrics) and a 7 chair day oncology unit.
Noosa Hospital is a unique private sector facility with a twenty year contract with the Queensland Government to provide some services to public patients. The mix of patients in the hospital is ~ 75% private to 25% public. With the growth in this region, newly qualified specialists have the ability to progressively build their private practice. We are an accredited training facility for general surgery, anaesthetics, emergency medicine and general medicine.

PRIVATE PRACTICE ASSISTANCE...
Since opening in 1999, Noosa Hospital has worked closely with a large number of specialists assisting them in building their practices at the hospital. We are experts with setting up suites, billing processes and developing relationships with local General Practitioners. The hospital will offer an attractive assistance package to appropriate specialists.
In addition, we will help market your practice to the community through GP Education evenings, letters of introduction and inclusion in our Specialists Contact List.
